Steve specialises in pre and post retirement planning, as well as care needs and later life financial planning.
Steve joined Lloyds Bank in 1985, after graduating from Durham University. He left to found Rothmere Wilson in 1990, which merged with Lyndhurst in 2015.
He specialises in pre and post retirement planning, as well as care needs and later life financial planning. Steve is one of the few UK advisers qualified as both a chartered and certified financial planner.

Away from work, he holds a private pilot’s license, follows Arsenal and is a member of Rotary.
SOLLA’s purpose is to serve the needs of people seeking advice about their financial wellbeing in later life. They accomplish this by providing these clients with Accredited Advisers local to them, who specialise in the financial needs of older people.
All members of the Society must achieve the Later Life Adviser Accreditation and adhere to a Code of Practice to ensure their clients know what to expect from their services. These advisers can advise on:

- Funding for Care Home fees
- Funding for care in your own home
- Equity release and other property options
- Savings and investment planning
- Tax matters and estate and wealth planning
