Current Role

Mark has been a trusted adviser to individuals, families, business owners and professionals since becoming a financial adviser in 1991. As a Chartered Financial Adviser, he offers a depth and breadth of knowledge that spans the full spectrum of financial planning. As a recognised pension specialist, he provides tax-efficient investment and retirement solutions, estate and inheritance tax planning advice, alongside corporate advice to SMEs and the self-employed.

Throughout his career, he has worked within or alongside accountancy firms, particularly in London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. He enjoys tackling the often-complex financial planning needs of his clients, and their families, many of whom he has advised for over 20 years. His approach is holistic and long-term, offering guidance through every stage of life: from cradle to grave, from start-up to business exit.

He also collaborates with solicitors to provide integrated financial advice for clients requiring support with Trusts, Inheritance Tax, estate management, and pension sharing in divorce settlements. As an adviser with strengths in the corporate world, he was heavily involved in the establishment and now maintenance of Workplace Pensions and employee benefits.

An area of specialist expertise is advising US-connected individuals living in the UK, an area many advisers tend to avoid. His clear, pragmatic approach helps clients navigate the complexities of dual tax obligations, cross-border pension planning, and asset management.

Professional highlights include acting as personal financial adviser to senior figures involved in a landmark government review of pensions policy and supporting academics.

He takes pride in delivering high-quality strategic work as well as supporting individuals and families to make meaningful savings, avoid tax pitfalls, and gain confidence in their financial future, right through to later-life planning and the intricacies of care funding.

Away from the desk, Mark is a family man who enjoys gardening, keeping active playing hockey with his local team, and spending time at a much-loved place in the sun. He has also quietly supported his local hospice, raising funds, whilst offering guidance to families dealing with terminal illness.
