Spring is a popular time to move house

Spring is a popular time to move house

I had to check the date as I scraped the ice off my car this morning, before my journey into work, but we are in Spring.

Historically this has been a popular time to market your house, with the garden starting to come into bloom and the summer weather being a good time to renovate a new purchase, or just enjoy your perfect new home.

The market seems to be picking up again, based on enquiries in the office here. Our lead mortgage adviser Ken Simmons will hopefully be helping many of you to make that purchase.

Ken prides himself on being able to offer a fast and efficient service, which means you are able to act quickly havingKen Simmons - Mortgage Expert and Adviser viewed the house you want. He can take calls out of hours on his mobile, meet people in our offices in Harpenden or locally in their homes if required. His knowledge of the lenders and their administration procedures means that if your requirement is to complete quickly Ken will know the right mortgage lenders to help in the process. He will discuss all your options and help you select a mortgage deal which suits your needs.

Ken is on holiday himself this week before a busy period but even then I have seen him respond to 2 new enquiries. He is dedicated to helping you get the answers you need as quickly as possible.

For online mortgage rates you can start your search here, but the best thing you can do is call Ken. 01582 715777 or 07702 870415.

Good luck in your new home!

Great time to get a mortgage in Harpenden

Great time to get a mortgage in Harpenden

I am being told by our mortgage advisers that now is a good time to get a mortgage in Harpenden as there are some very competitive mortgage rates available.

I had a look on our online mortgage rates software and can see that borrowing £350,000 on a property of £500,000 attracts a starting rate of 2.29%. If you are currently on an S.V.R (Standard Variable Rate) paying more than this it may be worth your while seeking advice from one of our mortgage advisers. They can also review your current protection products to see if further savings could be made.

Out of Hours Mortgage Advice

Ken Simmons - Mortgage AdviserObtaining mortgage advice can be a problem for those of us that have full time jobs and don’t have access to a mortgage adviser who is able to take calls outside of the normal 9:00am to 5:30pm routine.

Fortunately our top mortgage adviser Ken Simmons is prepared to go that bit extra and take calls out of hours including weekends. As a keen football fan 3pm on a Saturday is not the best time to get hold of him however, if you leave a message, more often than not he will be able to call you back after the game at 5pm.

Ken is prepared to do home visits in the local area and can conduct most of his research online and utilise email and the postal system to conduct business if meeting during the day is a problem.
